People sometimes ask when I became an activist. It all began at age eight when I caught my mother and sister dying Easter eggs. It wasn’t much of a leap to realize if those whom I most loved and trusted could lie to me about the Easter Bunny, Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy, then governmental leaders whom I did not even know could certainly lie to me about their reasons for doing things.
